My husband, Mark, brought me to Leavenworth for the first time in 1989. Born and raised in this special community, he was out to woo me, and planned our trip perfectly: It was December, the village was lit up in it's holiday splendor and it was lightly snowing, how could I (or anyone) resist? This quaint little town had captivated me. The following summer, we packed our bags and moved here from California. My love for this exquisite part of Washington State has never wavered.
What's not to love in Leavenworth? Where else can you ski, hike, bike, climb or play in the river practically out your back door? From the endless outdoor activities, area wine tasting, summer theater performances, or simply strolling downtown, Leavenworth has so much to offer.
